The last bike ride of the trip served up the best of everything bike-touring for us: lots of interaction with the locals, beautiful, mostly quiet roads, challenging ripio and mountain climbs (as well as some pushes), all through spectacular landscapes. We couldn’t have asked for a better cycle touring finish!

In Central Bolivia, we descended from the high Andes eastward to the country's jungle lowlands, and then returned westward to the altiplano again, all the while experiencing a broad diversity of climates, landscapes, political views, indigenous heritage, and European legacy.
